Candles in Sky: Children of the Light — complete guide

What Candles are

Candles (the white ones) are Sky’s core, all-purpose currency. You earn them by collecting Pieces of Light (a.k.a. wax) and then “forging” them into Candles. They’re different from Season Candles (gold) and Ascended Candles (endgame), which are used for seasonal trees and permanent upgrades

How to get Candles

1) Pieces of Light → forge Candles

Pick up red wax orbs from red candle clusters and by burning Darkness Plants in the realms. As your wax meter fills (top-left UI), tap it to forge one Candle; unclaimed Candles stack until you forge them.

Do Daily Quests always give white Candles?

Off-season yes; during a Season they give Season Candles instead

2) Daily Light (chevrons)

The Daily Light system makes your first Candles each day faster to earn. You start with three chevrons over the meter; they shrink as you reach 5, 10, and 15 Candles, and after 20 Candles the meter turns gray (much slower). Earlier candles require fewer wax pieces (e.g., ~94 pieces for the very first one that day).

3) Treasure Candles (“candle cakes”)

Each day, one realm features big Treasure Candles—large red “cakes,” 50 Pieces of Light each. Look for the realm marked by two lit red candles at Home. During Double Currency events, the number of daily Treasure Candles doubles.

4) Daily Quests

Complete up to four Daily Quests. Off-season they grant 1 white Candle each (claim at the Return Shrine/Aviary counter). During a Season, these quests grant Season Candles instead.

5) Events & bundles (optional)

Some IAP packs in the Premium Candle Shop include Candles (for example, Days of Summer Lights pack with 35, or the Nature Turtle pack with 75). These are limited-time and separate from in-game earning.
