Wing Buffs in Sky: Children of the Light – What They Are and How They Work

Wing Buffs are an important aspect of Sky: Children of the Light, allowing players to have multiple wings without having to collect Winged Light in the regular realms. To obtain Wing Buffs, players must purchase them with ascended candles after ascending a spirit, which can be obtained by running Eden.

If a spirit has two Wing Buffs, unlocking each of them grants the player an additional wing. However, Wing Buffs in the Friendship Tree do not grant additional wings. Instead, they unlock higher tier friendship interactions with that particular friend.

While Wing Buffs are a valuable asset, they can be lost under certain circumstances, such as getting hit by a krill or staying in the rain for too long. When this happens, players will first lose Winged Light, which they can retrieve by going through the realms to find them. If more wings are lost than the number of Winged Light collected, players can lose Wing Buffs as well. The only way to retrieve lost Wing Buffs is to go through Eden in its entirety.

Understanding Wing Buffs is crucial to progressing through the game and achieving a greater number of wings. By collecting ascended candles and ascending spirits, players can unlock Wing Buffs and gain additional wings. However, it’s important to be mindful of the potential for losing wings and taking the necessary steps to retrieve them if they are lost.
