Sky: Children of the Light Glossary
Sky: Children of the Light is an adventure game that includes various terminologies. Here’s a glossary of some of the most popular terms used by players:
- Moth: It refers to new players in the game. Some players refer to them as “sparrow” or other names instead. The name “moth” comes from their brown wings, uncontrollable flapping, and attraction towards flames.
- Uber: It is a player who leads other players around to gain candles, emotes, winged light, etc. The name “Uber” is inspired by the taxi-like company.
- Battery: A player who can help the Uber or other players recharge light while being led around the world of Sky. They are named so because they continuously provide light to the person with whom they are holding hands.
- Candle Run (CR): It refers to a run where players go to one or more realms to collect candle wax.
- Winged Light (WL): The glowing figures that give players flying power when collected. They are sometimes abbreviated as “stars” or “children of light” by sources, including the Sky: Children of the Light wiki site.
- Winged Light Run: It refers to a run where players go to one or more realms to collect winged light.
- Wedges: The parts of the half-circle at the middle of the top of the screen. They indicate the number of flaps a player has. As of June 7, 2021, the maximum possible amount of wedges is eleven (11).
- Krill: The fan term for the Dark Dragons. They are the giant black flying creatures with blue lights that turn red.
- Krilled: The fan term for when a Dark Dragon dives and hits a player/players.
- Home Trick: It is a now-patched way to prevent losing winged light from being attacked by Dark Dragons by navigating to the home button in the menu and remaining on the confirmation window while the Dark Dragon attacks.
- Candle Cake: A large bundle of red candles.
- Regular Candle: A candle with a heart in the middle. Players can earn it by collecting candle wax from red candles and burnt darkness plants throughout the realms.
- Seasonal Candle (SC): A candle with a seasonal logo in the middle. Players can earn it by collecting candle wax from orange candles in the realm in which the seasonal quest-giver is standing in front.
- Ascended Candle (AC): A candle with a diamond in the middle. Players can obtain it by visiting Eden.
- Candle Forging: It is the process of earning candles by tapping on the candle icon when it is full and has a pulsing red dot on it.
- Daily Lights System: It is a new candle-forging system introduced by TGC in March 2021 to make earning candles easier.

- Gray Candle: The regular candle icon will turn gray when a player has collected around 20 candles, and they will forge candles extremely slowly.
- Orbit: The starry place where a player goes after they die in Eden.
- Reset: It resets the statue locations in Eden every week. The maximum number of statues a player can save in a week is 63, for a total of 15.75 ascended candles. If a player goes to Eden more than once a week, the statues they saved the last time that week will disappear and show only the ones they haven’t saved. Reset will restore all locations.
- Point of No Return (PNR): The place in Eden where players are asked if they want to proceed to the next area and are
